The game is back on! Following the resounding success of the previous two Migrant Workers' Cricket Carnivals in collaboration with Ooredoo Maldives, Mission for Migrant Workers Maldives (MMWM) is thrilled to declare the launch of our 3rd Annual Migrant Workers' Cricket Carnival scheduled for December 1, 2023.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Ooredoo Maldives for their unwavering support, serving as our primary partner once again for this year's cricket carnival. We are also delighted to welcome Urbanco and the Maldives Cricket Board as additional partners, alongside our health and legal awareness camp collaborators.

The event is set to kick off tentatively on December 1, 2023, and registration is now open. Prospective participants can register through our social media platforms, website, or by completing the application form and emailing it to mmwmaldives@gmail.com.

Similar to the previous year's carnival, we are committed to offering free medical screenings and legal aid to migrant workers throughout the event. Past Health Camp partners include World Health Organization (WHO) Maldives, Society for Health Education (SHE), Medicos, Health Protection Agency (HPA), and Life Support. Additionally, Legal and Awareness Camp, partners include Transparency Maldives (TM), Public Interest Law Centre (PILC), International Organisation for Migration (IOM), and Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM).

MMWM also acknowledges the invaluable support from Ace Travels Maldives, Happy Market, Maldivian Red Crescent, and One Online for their contributions in sponsoring the winners award, providing beverages, first aid assistance, and media & photography services, respectively.

This year, we are expanding the carnival, accommodating 40 teams and introducing additional stalls for food and entertainment to create a truly celebratory atmosphere for everyone involved.

As an organization dedicated to advocating for the rights of migrant workers, the cricket carnival serves as a cornerstone in including the migrant community in our anniversary celebrations. None of this would be possible without the generosity of our partners and sponsors.

MMWM aims to continue organizing similar activities and programs to enhance migrant workers' engagement and promote social inclusion. For inquiries, please do not hesitate to reach out via email or contact us at +960 738 4994.

REGISTRATION IS OPEN TILL 26th November 2023.
