COVID-19 Migrant Worker Vaccination Campaign

MMWM is an active member of the national sub-committee dedicated to ensure vaccine equity for migrant workers in collaboration with Health Protection Agency (HPA) and Maldivian Red Crescent (MRC) with support from WHO, IOM and other relevant embassies and government bodies.  

Our goal is to reinforce the government strategy for vaccine equity under the "COVID-19 Dhifaau" campaign to the entire population of Maldives including all migrant workers irrespective of their legal status and without any financial hardship.

MMWM carried out a successful social media campaign to promote Maldivians to encourage migrant workers to receive the vaccine and help with the registration process in order to combat the growing stigma towards migrant workers.
